Rondevlei Primary Celebrates!

Rondevlei Primary had every reason to celebrate on Friday 2nd December. In the low-lying sandy soils of Rondevlei, stands a 3 classroom primary school. Here 72 primary learners spend their school days; ably taught by the Principal, Mrs Saayman and Mr Swartz. With the help of Oakhill School and many caring community workers, this school is helped with donations of books, food, furniture, clothes, playground equipment and many essential items.

President’s Award Community Service at Rondevlei School

As part of their President’s Award community service, 5 Grade 9’s at Oakhill, Cara Eyre, Sean Brodie, Nicole Bayes, Finn Stevenson and Claudia Spilsbury, wrote a letter to the Prep School families a few weeks ago requesting a collection of childrens’ clothing and shoes. Talk about generosity! They sorted and packed bags and boxes – a car load full and today was the day for sharing and caring.

Delivering Easter Eggs

On Wednesday, 20th April, Millwood students, Kathleen Stein, Carly Seager, Maricia Schempers, Nicole Bayes and Fern Wolf, along with Barbie and Ms le Fleur, went to deliver the ribbon tied Easter Egg packages, donated by Millwood students, to children of the Knysna Township.

Oakhill ‘Play it Forward’ Futbal Festival

21 days before the FIFA World Cup 2010 Oakhill hosted a wonderfully successful ‘Futbal Festival’ on Friday 21st May. The weather was glorious and over 150 kids, including 70 children from neighbouring development schools in Rheenendal, Rondevlei, Ruigtevlei and a local Soup Kitchen joined in the fun.
