In response to growing interest, Oakhill is excited to announce an extension of its scholarship programme. Talented Grade 7 students starting in Grade 8, 2027 now have a chance to apply for a limited number of merit-based scholarships for Music and Sport.
Sports Scholarship
Calling all sports players! Boys and girls are invited to apply for a sports scholarship.
Requirements:
- Play a team sport at your current school
- Representation at provincial level or equivalent
- Good academic record
Music Scholarship
Aspiring music students are invited to apply for a music scholarship.
Requirements:
- Play one or more instruments (eg. Piano, violin, voice, guitar, saxophone etc.)
- Have a Level 4 in music practical
- Have a Level 1 in music theory
Please note: That all prospective candidates should take part in the Oakhill College – Grade 8, 2027 scholarship process.
There are a limited number of sport and music scholarships available and are not automatically awarded on application.
Candidates will be required to commit to the sporting code or music for their full school career.

- Closing date for applications:
- Thursday, 26 February 2026
- Feedback and further information to all applicants:
- Thursday, 5 March 2026
- College Scholarship exams:
- Friday, 13 March from 14h30 (interviews and lateral thinking exercises)
- Saturday, 14 March from 08h30 (Mathematics and English exams)
Candidates are required to be at both sessions –Friday, 13 March and Saturday, 14 March 2026.
