Oakhill Adventure Racers totally dominate the Eden Duo

On the weekend of 29th and 30th October one of the biggest events on the adventure racing calendar – the Merrell Eden Duo Adventure Race – took place out of The Wilderness National Park. This is an adventure race done over 40 km, or the big one 150 km – with a cut off time of 24 hours. Oakhill’s adventure racers once again stole the spotlight with record-breaking results from a number of Oakhill students.

On 2 October, 4 Oakhill learners took part in the Naturally Knysna Trail run. This was a 14km trail run through the Knysna forest and consisted of some steep climbs, descents and crossing streams.

Mandarin Teacher for Oakhill!

Monday was an exciting day in the history of the school. Shane met with Mr Wei from the Chinese Embassy to formally sign a document entering us into a partnership with Haban for a Mandarin teacher, with the government of China. We are hoping our new teacher will join us at the beginning of 2012.
