Four Oakhill teams took part in the Adventure Racing National Championships for Schools that was held in the Baynesfield area, KZN on 6 and 7 October 2011.
After taking part in the Adventure Racing National championships for schools, Nicola Giliomee, Ben Giliomee and Brandon Willcocks made their way to Parys to take part in the Crater Cruise Half Marathon MTB 56km race.
On 2 October, 4 Oakhill learners took part in the Naturally Knysna Trail run. This was a 14km trail run through the Knysna forest and consisted of some steep climbs, descents and crossing streams.

During the July 2011 school holidays, the Wittedrift School Hostel came alive with the arrival of the Percy Mdala High School matric learners.
Funds from the Oakhill MySchool Card program have been used to purchase two full team kits for use by our local development sports teams.
Monday was an exciting day in the history of the school. Shane met with Mr Wei from the Chinese Embassy to formally sign a document entering us into a partnership with Haban for a Mandarin teacher, with the government of China. We are hoping our new teacher will join us at the beginning of 2012.
