For the annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic held at Little Oaks this year, it was decided to encourage Grandmothers, Mothers and any other interested knitters in the community to knit a teddy bear to donate to a worthy cause. One hundred and twelve knitted teddy bears were collected! The decision was made to donate the knitted bears to Babies in Need – a local Knysna Foundation which is run solely by volunteers and has the aim of providing basic requirements to Moms and Babies at the Knysna Provincial Hospital. In the picture, Denzil and Sandra de Klerk receive the teddy bears from the children at Little Oaks.

Report: Caroline Payton
And these gorgeous teddy bears, made with love and care by Moms and Grans and Friends at Little Oaks, went all the way to the Knysna Provincial Hospital as a treat to the babies and tots in need in the Childrens’ ward.
They brought joy and smiles of delight.
Thank you Little Oaks.
