Oakhill’s recent SRC Food Evening and Interact Fashion Show once again brought the school community together for a night of flavour, creativity and spirit.
The Oakhill College Quad transformed into a sensory food extravaganza for the annual Student Representative Council Food Evening as College students embraced global cultures through themed food stalls, decor, and dress.
The Grade 8s brought Hollywood glamour with an American-themed stall, while Grade 9s served fragrant curries alongside a fiery hot-sauce competition and a fun tuk-tuk photo booth. The Grade 10s transported guests to Greece with delicious pitas served by Greek gods, and Grade 11s celebrated South African heritage with boerewors rolls, vetkoek, and a spirited rendition of the national anthem. The Matrics worked the crowd with sweet treats, completing a vibrant evening that raised vital funds for the SRC initiatives.
Celebrating culture, cuisine and creativity, Oakhill’s Interact Fashion Show and SRC Food Evening once again proved to be a highlight of the school calendar.
