Weekly Achievements: Week 1 Term 3 2015

SWD HOCKEY

Congratulations to all SWD players that participated in Inter Provincial Tours during the holidays.

  • U14A SWD Girls ended up 6th out of 16 with Gabi Lubner, Michaela Vogt, Jessica van Strijp excelling.
  • U16B SWD Girls, captained by Bianca Mincione and coached by Mr Bell, came 3rd.
  • U16A SWD Girls performed well with the girls ending in 5th position out of 15 teams and Anna Reid contributing to the success.

Huge congratulations to Sam Mvimbi who was selected to represent SA U16 Boys Hockey team.

OPEN WATER SWIMMING

Miss Tiemke Rijpstra won the Open Water Swim in Jeffery’s Bay:

  • Water temperature: 11 deg
  • Distance: 2.5km
  • Non-wetsuit!

Joshua Nel attended the US OPEN and ISKA World Martial Arts Championships in Orlando, Florida and achieved an amazing set of medals and trophies:

  • 2nd place for clash sparing
  • 2nd place for tag team, full contact, kick boxing open
  • 4th place for High Kick missing No 1 spot by mm
  • 3rd place for points sparing
  • 5th place for continuous fighting
  • 5th place for traditional Kata

SWD EQUESTRIAN
