Thank you to all the Oakhill moms, grannies extended family members and friends who so lovingly knitted teddy bears for Knysna charity foundation Babies in Need. This morning volunteer Mary-Anne Farnham came to collect the teddy bears and explained to the children how much they mean to the new moms and babies at the Knysna Provincial Hospital. A total of 80 Teddies were and a tremendous amount of clothes and baby blankets were handed over. Mary-Anne also assured the little Oakhillians that each teddy would be loved and cherished for many years. As one of the little ones said “even teenagers need teddies”!
Babies in Need is an organisation run by Mary-Anne Farnham and Mary-Anne Jeffrey – two ladies from Knysna who endeavour to provide for babies and children in the Provincial Hospital. Find out more about Babies in need on their website or facebook.
