One of Oakhill School’s annual highlights, the SRC Food Evening and Interact Fashion Show, took place on Friday 18 August, providing plenty of fun and laughter, as well as raising much-needed funds for various local community projects. Everyone attending had a wonderful evening, from the delicious international food on offer to the fun entertainment provided by musicians, dancers and models strutting their stuff!
Themed Modern Canvas, the show carried through the essence of the Oakhill way, where students are blank canvases, encouraged to be who they are and guided to develop into the best version of themselves and their full potential. Challenge Gobo led the evening superbly as Master of Ceremonies, and the Grade 12 boys ended it off with a bang, modelling their Matric Dance outfits to Beyonce’s 2008 hit “Put a Ring on It”.
Well done to all the models and fantastic behind-the-scenes organisation from the SRC and Interact Committees! And a huge thank you to our local shops and boutiques who were so willing to get involved in the show. Without your amazing clothes, the show would not have been possible …. Thank you Old Khaki, Papagayo, Sportscene, Two on Toast and Three Broke Girls.
Thanks to Penny Foyn for once again beautifully capturing the spirit of the evening.
