Sandwiches and soup for Madiba Day!

Oakhill Prep celebrated their 67 Minutes for Madiba on Friday 24 July, and had great fun in their effort to share and care for others in our community. Intermediate Phase students made sandwiches, whilst the Foundation Phase children were challenged to donate a cup or mug filled with a sachet of one of the following warm options – Coffee/hot chocolate, Instant Oats or Cup-a-soup. As each child brought their cup and sachet to school, they were asked to add a small cardboard cup icon to represent their donation on the “Share a cup for kindness” graph, so the children were able to see a visual representation of their kindness. The sandwiches and cups of kindness were then donated to various charitable organisations in our Knysna area …
