A learning environment organized around games has a positive effect on students’ attitudes towards learning. At Oakhill, all students are welcome to explore Chess where they can learn to play the game or practice their skills. Like physical exercise to maintain strength and coordination, Chess allows players to exercise both sides of the brain. It enhances memory and fosters creative thinking. Our players had the opportunity to play against another school for the first time since Covid. Our team of 11 players played well with it being an experience to remember and the beginning of new Chess relations. Thank you to Trinity Primary for their positivity and eagerness to play. We are looking forward to more Chess in the near future.
