Once again, Prep students had wonderful fun at the annual IP Market Day. This market forms part of the IP Mathematics Curriculum – students get R20 each and must form a company with other pupils in the class, offering goods or services for the remaining Prep grades to buy. Grade 4 traditionally make gifts, Grade 5 offer food and Grade 6 do a variety of games and activities. The pupils get marked on their stalls, product and cleaning up afterwards. The profits they make are shared evenly, and in some cases they donate these to a charity of their choice.
