Olympics at Little Oaks

While the world’s finest athletes compete at the London 2012 Olympics, Little Oaks’ little athletes competed in their very own ‘Mini Olympics’ on Monday 30th July. For the little athletes it was not about winning, but all about taking part and having fun.  Their Olympic Events included a twenty metre sprint, sack races, bucket and beanbag races, hoop races, funnel and ball races and potato and spoon.  It is evident that the Little Oaks’ athletes have been putting in long hours of training as all of them managed to win gold medals for their teams.  We had lots of fun and used lots of energy and concentration. Thank you to many of our Mums and Dads who came along to cheer the competitors. Such a pity that we have to wait another four years until our next Oakhill Olympic Games!
