Oakhill hosts its first ever Rugby Festival

On Saturday the 12th of May 2012 history was made as Oakhill School successfully hosted its first ever Rugby Festival. Glenwood House from George sent an u16 and u18 team. Knysna Secondary split both their u16 and u18 squads, big enough for 15 man rugby into two 7’s squads to form eight teams, four from each age group participating.

For Oakhill, the spotlight was mainly on the u16 team, who managed two convincing wins against both Knysna Secondary teams and a narrow defeat to the Glenwood u16s. For the u18 side things were a lot tougher and they were not able to win any of their three games, but competed well throughout the day.

A very successful day from all aspects and great experience gained for the Oakhill rugby players.
