The Oakhill 1st XI Cricket achieved yet another impressive win on the weekend by beating Outeniqua 1st XI by 10 wickets in a Super League match away at Outeniqua. This result followed on from their 1 wicket victory over a strong York 1st XI two weeks previous and a victory over Outeniqua 1st XI in the T20 Competition.
Oakhill bowled first restricting Outeniqua to 72 all out. This was due to a fantastic spell of opening bowling from Todd Walker (3 for 28) and Chris Marrow (2 for 18). The catching was incredible with some amazing catches, especially from Todd Walker who took two ‘absolute blinders’ at slip. JJ Strydom finished off the tail with 3 for 8.
Chris Marrow 34no and James Segers 27no, knocked off the total to give Oakhill 1st XI a historic win by 10 wickets.
Oakhill u15A had a comprehensive win against Oudtshoorn High beating them by 87 runs. Lawrence Wiid scoring 67 and taking 3 for 24.
With Oakhill having two new, impressive Cricket fields and the development of the new Sports Campus in full swing, exciting times lie ahead for all Oakhill sportsmen and women.
