The Music Fusion event with Herschel Girls School last month was an evening to remember. A beautiful collaboration of Strings, Wind, Jazz, Blues, and Guitar Ensembles was heard. Herschel’s outstanding Orchestra did not only treat the audience to a very delightful foot-tapping repertoire, but they also accompanied Oakhill’s College Choir during a lovely Johnny Clegg tribute. Oakhill’s very own Big Band ended the evening off on a high note.
This was the first, of hopefully many more joined concerts to come between Oakhill and Herschel Girls School. We look forward to performing on their stage in Cape Town next year. Thank you for the most wonderful collaboration and fusion of music!
