At the pinnacle of their journey at Oakhill, the Grade 12 pupils and parents share a very special evening with Oakhill College staff at the 2021 Valedictory Dinners. Due to the large number of Matrics and meeting Covid protocols, this evening was split into two groups of Matrics with their parents and teachers at the magnificient Barringtons Restaurant in Plettenberg Bay last week.
This annual premier event marks the end of the Matrics’ school careers, where teachers get to bid a fond farewell in personalised speeches of our truly individual matric students. Matric awards and Oakhill’s prestigious awards and trophies were also awarded on the evening. Especially notable were the significant number of matrics that had spent their entire school career, from Grade R to Grade 12 at Oakhill as honoured by the Alan Graham Award.
As always, this year’s event was a joyous and a very emotional celebration!
