Friday marked the official opening of our 2022 Matric Art Exhibition in the Knysna Mall. The Grade 12 art students’ interpretation of the theme “Intertwined and Interwoven” includes a truly remarkable display of ceramics, drawings, paintings, canvases and installations.
Artists Gregory Allen, Holly Battell, Josie Bebington, Erin de Villiers, Jodi Edgar, Jessica Hall, Taya Hanton,
Carly Howard, Kay-Leigh Jansen, Leigh-Anne Lupton, Kaitlyn Noble, Nathan Petersen have excelled and impressed in their translation of the brief. “Intertwining” to implies a circular, twisting, or rotary motion involving two parts and “Inter-weave” implies a flatter, back-and-forth or up-and-down motion of elements criss-crossing each other, which could involve multiple parts.
Oakhill invites our Oakhill family and friends and the greater Garden Route community to come enjoy the culmination of a year’s hard work and dedication. A feast for the senses and the soul – congratulations to the artists and their teacher Ms Colette Rὕgheimer!
A reminder that the exhibition will remain open for viewing until Sunday, 13 November, weekdays from 09h00-16h00 and Saturday and Sunday from 09h00-14h00.
