Lunchbox Theatre Competition

Well done to all our budding actors and actresses who entered this year’s 1-Minute Monologue competition! Six pupils were chosen for the final showcase: Kyla Hanton (Grade 10), Victoria Still (Grade 7), Arabella Murdoch (Grade 5), Madison Starkey (Grade 5), Sage Hawkins (Grade 5) and Liam Jefferies (Grade 5). Click on the links below and have fun watching their entries! You can support our pupils by voting for your favourites at www.lunchbox.org.za – voting opened yesterday and the video with the most votes at 8pm on 16 August will be declared the winner.

This exciting new online opportunity was offered by Lunchbox Theatre, with the aim to encourage young people to explore their creativity. Wikipedia describes a monologue as “a speech presented by a single character, most often to express their mental thoughts aloud, though sometimes also to directly address another character or the audience”.
