Lily makes Western Cape hockey team

The Western Cape U14 Hockey trials were held on Saturday 18 May at the Hartleyvale Stadium in Cape Town. The trials were attended by approximately 60 boys and 60 girls from the various regions making up the Western Cape namely Western Province North, Western Provence South, Boland and Eden. Four hours of round-robin matches were played before a squad of 15 players was announced, where Lily was selected to represent the Western Cape Schools Hockey U14 girls team at the upcoming National Winter Games. This event is to be held in Durban from 30 June to 5 July 2019 which is run by the Dept of Sport & Recreation.

Lily is the first girl ever at Oakhill to make the Western Cape hockey team. Congratulations Lily!.
