Learning about Sustainable Fishing

Last Friday the Oakhill Eco Club enjoyed an outing to the San Parks office on Thesen Island. Ranger, Shamley Titus, spoke to the children about sustainable fishing and showed them the Knysna Seahorses in their tank. They were amazed at how small the seahorses are and were eager to be advocates for their survival. They also learned about how many fish could be caught daily and the size they need to be to ensure the survival of the species.
