IP Participate in SA Mathematics Challenge

Grade Four to Seven students recently took part in the SA Mathematics Challenge – an independent assessment where questions are aimed at conceptual knowledge, the application of knowledge in new situations, problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and general mathematical thinking. It is important for our students to become empowered, independent, creative and critical thinkers and the SA Mathematical Challenge allows them further opportunity to grow in these skills.

Oakhill is very proud of the 43 students who went through to the final round, and would like to congratulate the following students for achieving certificates:

  • Gold Certificate: Max Penrith
  • Silver Certificates: Francois Hay, Zena Sithonga, Tristan Torrance, Noah Platt, Luke Gebhard, Mark Sturgess, Larissa Gould-Wagenaar, Isabella Rodwell, Erin Fietze and Josie Macdonald
  • Bronze Certificates: Simon Shearer, Cristopher Coetzee, Jaco Olivier, Tom Seddon, Caitlin McCall, Ashley Cairncross, Connie Chorley, Zara Osman, Jade Fuller, Cady Wales and Victoria Still
