After the official opening at the Oakhill Waterfront Chukka Festival for the College, Oakhill students, staff and parents gathered for a very special ceremony. Many may not be aware of the instrumental role that Philip Stewart played in the development and success of the water polo festivals when he was the Estate Manager at Oakhill School. Phil was actually the brainchild of the pool lay-out with PVC pipes, and this year it was decided to name the main pool in Phil’s honour. Although Phil was unable to be with us for the ceremony, his sister, Barbie Leibbrandt was fortunately able to attend and share a toast with us on Phil’s behalf.
