The Grade 1 critical thinking and design skills project for their current African Safari Adventure theme involved the construction of a mini game reserve. There was much excitement, planning, sourcing of materials and parent/child collaboration leading up to the construction. All the problem solving, creativity and thinking that took place resulted in the most wonderful mini game reserves!
The Grade 1s culminated their African Animal thematic learning in cross-curricular style, experiencing animals in their natural habitat while on a game drive. The beautiful, clear winter day and their knowledgeable game guide made this a wonderful, rich learning experience of animals in the wild. Thank you Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve for hosting us!
