Our Grade 11’s have put their learning into practice recently as they built playdough models to engage closely with structural aspects of their geomorphology curriculum. This hands-on expression of the land forms helped them assimilate their knowledge of messes, buttes, to conical hills and more. Our Geography students also experience “the joy of learning” in person within the environment, as our Matric Geography students did earlier this term, by visiting the Knysna River to experience the theory taught and to collect data. What a privilege to have the natural environment on our doorstep and to be able to move the learning from the classroom into life!
