Doing Something Remarkable

Oakhill once again hosted a very successful Blood Drive this week and we would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to every student and family member or friend who took the time to come and donate! We have no doubt that the units collected made a significant contribution towards relieving the critical shortage currently being experienced in the Western Cape. A special mention to all the first time donors, who overcame their anxiety in order to help save lives! We hope to see you returning to all our future drives!

Whilst we don’t have as many new donors as our Blood Drive in July 2022 we had a significant increase of regular donors and almost 50 total units were achieved again. Hopefully by the next drive a lot more of our Grade 10 students will have turned 16 years and will be able to donate.

We would like to host a blood drive once a term, which would allow donors the convenience of falling into a routine of donating every three months at Oakhill. Please look out for information on our next drive, and lets see if we can continue to increase our life-saving community ‘footprint’ in the Western Cape! Do Something Remarkable and donate!
