Last Friday, 24 January saw a green Oakhill Sports Campus transformed into a collage of reds, yellows and blues as the three houses – Jubilee, Millwood and Bendigo – took to the fields to battle it out for the prestigious Winners Cup and Spirit Trophy. The Grade 12 pupils created a fantastic atmosphere leading their houses with great energy and enthusiasm, which translated directly onto the tracks with many exciting races. At the end of the day, Jubilee’s drive earned them a win with 339 points, while Bendigo followed hot on their heels at 322 points. Millwood may have ended third with 261 points, but their spirit was phenomenal on the day earning them the coveted Spirit Trophy. Oakhill’s top athletes displayed their skills across all field and track events, with Bayley Smuts winning the Junior Victrix Ludorum and Tristan Torrance the Junior Victor Ludorum. Jessica Devine claimed the title of Senior Victrix Ludorum, and Michael Hankins Senior Victrix Ludorum.
A fun-filled time was had by staff and pupils alike, with all three houses displaying fabulous spirit! Well done to all participants on great performances and sportsmanship.
