Our 2023 Grade 8s started the year early with an orientation camp at Outward Bound in Sedgefield at the beginning of January. This enthusiastic group had a wonderful time and enjoyed the Rafting, Spiders Web as well as the Jacobs Ladder.
Last week’s on-campus orientation included exposure to several aspects of “Life at Oakhill” and belonging and becoming a true Oakhillian. With our Matrics guiding them have been involved in a rich programme which extends well beyond the academic and organisational requirements to wellbeing sessions with the EdPsych and Support unit, Sports, Co-curricular and Leadership teams, EdTech and much more!
With a plethora of aspects to be involved in, new students have claimed that their start has been “even better than we ever anticipated!” We look forward to this Grade 8, 2023 group settling well into the College community and making the most of all the opportunities available, in their journey to becoming Oakhillian’s of significance.
