This weekend the U13B Boys and Girls took part in the George South Hockey Festival held at Outenigua High School. The boys played Hermanus, George South and an Outeniqua High School team over the course of the festival. While they were well beaten by the High School team, the other two matches proved tight and competitive affairs with the Oakhill team losing narrowly in each case. The boys played with great determination under extremely hot conditions and learnt a great deal from the experience. The festival also provided the opportunity for some C team players to gain festival experience. The girls produced some great hockey and ended up the playoff to win the pool. In the exciting playoff the Oakhill girls produced their best performance and ran out winners by two goals to one scoring in the last minute of play. The girls have made excellent progress and are looking a great prospect for the season ahead.
