This Term our Foundation Phase children have been learning about the various pillars of character education. Building character in our classrooms and cultivating character in our children helps to provide them with lifelong skills. Each week they focus on a different positive character trait and value, by exploring it together. While they understand the importance and necessity of Covid-19 protocols and physical distancing to keep everyone safe it is very difficult for little children to show their love, care and respect for others without being able to physically touch, hug and share. With this in mind, each child was gifted very own little Thrasscot “Care Bear” friend and mascot to shower all their love, hugs and care helping the children learn, live and role-play the various values and positive character traits explored throughout the term – wherever they are!
