Friday the 15th was Sunflower Day and Oakhill College students seized the opportunity to support this worthy initiative by donning bandanas in the colour of their respective Houses. Close to 150 bandanas were bought, contributing to the fundraising efforts of the Sunflower Fund – a NPC that creates awareness around the need for blood stem cell donors.
Tim Payne initiated the school’s support of this cause in 2014, and Oakhill aims to continue and further grow involvement in memory of Tim. For more information on the Sunflower Fund, visit their website www.sunflowerfund.org.za
