Santa Shoebox is a wonderful initiative leading up to the festive season which presents a very special opportunity for Oakhill to give as many underprivileged children as possible a special gift for Christmas. This project is run throughout South Africa and Oakhill was extremely excited to share in the joy of giving once again as we reach out to our direct community. A total of one thousand one hundred boxes were donated by the extended Plett and Knysna communities of which Oakhill families contributed over 200 boxes!
Thank you to the Santa Shoebox Regional Coordinator, Deanne Roberts, our Oakhill Interactors and our teachers that helped coordinate these donations. It has been truly heartwarming and we are very appreciative of everyone’s efforts in sharing in the joy of giving!
