Oakhill Prep has some young up-and-coming swimmers that may well follow in Aimee Canny’s footsteps one day! Rebecca Pitout and Adam Nurse, both in Grade 6, recently swam in the Short Course Champs for 2019. Adam came in the top three for his races – 2nd in 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke, and 3rd for both 200m Breaststroke and Individual Medley. Rebecca swam ten events (covering Breaststroke, Freestyle, Butterfly, Backstroke and Individual Medley) and won a hugely impressive ten gold medals in all ten events, with ten personal best times! She also proceeded to receive the Junior Victrix Ludorum trophy. Congratulations!!
