Every year the Grade 5 and 6 children practice their storytelling skills in the English class, after which many are selected to participate in the Storytelling Finals. These were held in the Learning Commons on Tuesday, 20th September where all the Grade 5 and 6 children, as well as four teachers, select the winner by allocating marks to various criteria. This year we had 20 contestants, which says Julie Stevenson “is indicative of our students’ amazing confidence as it is rather daunting to stand up in front of about 75 pairs of critical eyes and ears! Although our champion storyteller will only be announced at the Celebration of Excellence, I would like to give my heartfelt congratulations to each child who participated”.
