Prep Hockey off to a Flying Start

Prep Hockey off to a Flying Start

With term three just started, our Prep senior hockey teams got straight into the action. The u13 Boys and u13 Girls travelled to Mossel Bay on Friday to participate in a tournament hosting both local teams and a number of touring sides from Cape Town.

After a rusty start, the boys and girls had us excited, as they got better and better as the afternoon progressed, a good sign for the long season ahead.

On Saturday the u12 Boys and the u12 Girls took part in a Hockey festival hosted by Knysna Primary. The girls’ team had a great tournament, playing constructive hockey; defensively they were very strong, with Anna Reid especially dominating from the back. The boys’ team had an up and down tournament, producing some great performances, but also letting themselves down on occasions.
