Ahoy, mateys! Our fearless “Motley Crew” of Grade 1 Pirates embarked on a daring escapade from the classroom at the end of last term! They sailed our pirate ship (the Oakhill School bus) to Treasure Island (Leisure Isle). Arrr, it was a day filled with excitement and adventure!
Armed with our trusty treasure maps, each band of pirates diligently followed the clues leading to where X marked the spot, and found hidden treasure chests brimming with sparkling jewels (or, as landlubbers call them, colourful sweets). Affirming our belief in sharing the spoils of the sea, we divided the loot fairly among all our shipmates. We built magnificent sand castles, bravely walked the plank, apprehended a few stowaways, and diligently scrubbed the decks (ensuring we left the area shipshape before departing). Fortunately, no one was lost overboard, and we all enjoyed an unforgettable island expedition …. all forming part of our Water Transport theme.
So, raise your eyepatches and let’s give a cheer for our amazing Grade 1 Pirates! May their thirst for adventure continue to fuel their imaginations and lead them to even greater treasures. Yo-ho-ho!
