Oakhill was proud to host its 4th annual Peter Bishop u13 Hockey Festival last Saturday, 1 June. With some questionable weather forecasts and the winter in full force, the day dawned beautiful and teams were welcomed by a morning filled with sunshine. The festival atmosphere was met with great excitement as 8 of the top hockey schools in our region came head to head on the York Quarry fields. The Astroturf allowed for some great classic clashes and entertaining hockey. Our Oakhill u13 players did extremely well and their results went hand in hand with their superb sportsmanship and manners. Well done Oakhill, and a big thank you to everyone who was involved. We look forward to an exciting 2014 festival.
