Our Hockey and Angling Stars Shine

Hockey is a well loved sport at Oakhill and many of the students and coaches extend their skills at a more competitive level at inter-provisional tournaments (IPTs) in the school holidays. Well done to the following pupils and coaches:

Congratulations to Anja Barnard for representing the Western Cape U14 girls hockey side at the Interprovincial tournament (IPT) held in Kempton Park. The U14 Western Cape girls team went on to win the tournament with Anja as goalie!

Well done to Veruschka Titus, Taryn Jansen, Khazimla Msizi who represented Eden in the U16 girls at the IPTs tournament, held in Stellenbosch under the guidance of their Eden coach, Dr Herman Kitshoff who is also an Oakhill staff member.

Similarly, well done to Emily Edkins for representing Eden in the U18 girls at the IPT tournament also held in Stellenbosch.

Well done Gené Viljoen for being selected for the Protea u/21 LTB angling team to compete against Namibia from 5-10 December 2022 at Hardap Dam in Namibia

On a senior level, Oakhill hockey coaches, Mr Darren Kamfer and Mr Wanda Mtshilibi both represented the Eden Country Districts team, impressively winning the Country Districts national tournament, held in George. We are exceptionally proud of both Darren and Wanda who have both made the South African Country Districts squad.
