Happy Birthday – Oakhill School is 24 years old today!! Students were regaled with special memories of the school from days gone by – founding staff member Elna Brown spoke in the College and long standing staff Caroline Payton in the Intermediate Phase and Barbara-Anne Hayward in the Foundation Phase. Little Oaks children sat under the old oaktree listening to Caroline Cross describing how Oakhill has changed and that new generations of families are now growing like a young tree does. Children also made crowns, cards and their own stories of what makes Oakhill special to them. Ice-cream was enjoyed by all in celebration of the day! More celebrations of 24 years will take place for the whole Oakhill community next Friday, 11 March at the OSC – please join us.
