Oakhill team up with Bryanston School (UK)

Oakhill School hosted Hockey fixtures against Bryanston School from England and yet again, it demonstrated how powerful a medium sport is in bringing people together and changing lives. Oakhill may have taken the honours in the Hockey, but Bryanston took the honours and more, in setting an example of the power of giving! “The Bryanston party were the most amazing group of caring, sincere and giving individuals I have ever met”, commented Dave Pryke – Director of Sport and host. Not only did these young ladies give their own gifts, but they become involved with the community and interacted enthusiastically, forming relationships and put a smile on everyone’s face they interacted with.

Bryanston gave out gifts including soccer balls, hair-shavers and toiletries at Sinethemba, and during their township tour gave clothing to all in need. They have teamed up with Oakhill to provide clothing for up to 100 Cricketers who will be involved in the Barry Richards Oakhill Cricket Bursary Identification Programme. This will be held at Knysna Sports School on Wednesday, 19th October from 14h00 – 17h00. Any interested parties who have identified potential candidates can contact Dave Pryke on 044-3826506 or [email protected] to submit an application.  See details alongside for further details about this wonderful opportunity offered by Barry Richards and Oakhill School.
