On Friday 11th and Saturday 12th March 2011, Grade 7 students from Oakhill as well as other schools around the Garden Route, sat the Oakhill Scholarship Exams.
The Scholarship students were divided into different groups and participated in various programs which included a Mathematics exam, an English exam, an Art practical, Public Speaking and a Music Workshop.
Parents of the students attended a cocktail evening held at Oakhill on the Friday evening where Mr Shane Kidwell, the headmaster, spoke of the ever-increasing importance of a good education today and how education had changed over the years and would continue to do so.
The results of the Scholarship process will be announced before the end of the first term.
