Mothers were in for an additional surprise this weekend with treats brought home from the EMS Mother’s Day Market. Pupils in the Foundation Phase (Grades 1 – 3) were given the task of exploring their entrepreneurial skills by making and then selling goods that they thought would be suitable gifts for mothers. All Grades got the opportunity to browse and buy extra treats for Mom! Not only did the kids have a blast, but Moms got spoilt again and most importantly, the children learnt to make, sell and give back to a worthy cause. A substantial amount was raised, and added to Oakhill’s other initiatives, this will result in a wonderful sum to hand over to charity at the end of the year.
