Kids’ Lit Quiz

Kids’ Lit Quiz

kids_lit_times

Hosted by Oakhill School, six schools attended the regional quiz on Saturday 14th February. We were delighted to have the Quiz Master, Wayne Mills, all the way from the USA, as last year he was snowed in at the airport in New York.

The quiz was attended by Oakhill School of Knysna, Plett Primary, Greenwood Independent School, Glenwood School, Holy Cross and an invitational team made up of two pupils from Riverwood School and two from Oakhill School.

The excitement mounted as the clock ticked over the three hours, each team hoping to have the knowledge necessary to answer the next question! Wayne cleverly words his questions with the intention of piquing the audience’s interest in the books.

After each team having a turn to win a round of book vouchers and spot prizes being won throughout the quiz, the results were finally announced:

Congratulations to all the participants! Thank you to all the teachers and parents who were part of this exciting event. Thanks most especially to Wayne Mills, the founder; and Marj Brown who organises the South African Kids’ Lit Quizzes. We love to have a bit of culture in our neck of the world!
