Yesterday, Knysna Education Trust (KET) were gifted over 450 bears to help facilitate their worthy and early intervention programme on emotions and protective behaviour training for young children.
Oakhill’s anniversary goal of 300 bears and soft toys collected by pupils was far exceeded, as children kindly donated new and also pre-loved teddies and soft toys. With open hearts there were exclamations of “go well” and “be happy Mr Bear” as the children added their personal contributions to the ever growing pile.
Each bear and soft toy will make a difference in Early Childhood Development Centres in our community. Thank you to Mrs Payton, Interact and Staff for organising and to everyone who contributed for your generosity and kindness ~ there is true joy in giving!
