The Grade 6S pupils entertained their parents and the Prep School with their rendition of Roald Dahl’s Jack and the Beanstalk in their recent assembly. Six Mothers and six Jacks choreographed their movements as they recited the words from the famous poem. The narrators were on top form, as was our Giant. The poem plays on the fact that the Giant ‘smells’ an Englishman which results in Jack having a good bath.
The pupils went on to speak about being water wise and demonstrated a number of scenarios that emphasised using natural products like bicarbonate of soda. The meaningful message of being environmentally friendly while saving water, in alignment with Oahhill as an EcoSchool was reinforced in a playful way!
