The Guinea fowls set of on a beautiful Monday morning for an exciting trip to the Garden of Eden. After our short bus trip we arrived at our quiet destination and the children were amazed at the smell of damp leaves that greeted them. After our picnic, we set of to look for the first map that will guide us on our way. From there we followed the path, observing the different types of leaves, plants and fungi we could see. We were fortunate to watch a Wood Hoopoe lift pieces of bark to find some insects. The children noticed that some trees had numbers on them and so our walk evolved as we searched for numbers and information boards. The big tree, towards the end of our walk, never ceases to amaze the children and it received lots of hugs and admiration. A wonderful day out in the forest enjoyed by all.
