On Thursday the 28th of August the Grade Ones visited the “Green Garden” on the Airport Road between Plett and Knysna for a ‘Gardening Work Party’. Here they learnt about the planting, growing, harvesting and use of organic herbs and vegetables. Each student had the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the garden such as digging, weeding, raking, planting and generally getting rather dirty. The morning was a great success, covering a host of learning areas and a whole lot of fun!
