The Grade 8s started their year with a fantastic Orientation Camp, which was duplicitous in nature. Much of the programme, the first two days (held at the Harkerville Forest Lodge), was dedicated towards establishing deep and meaningful relationships with each other, the matrics and the staff. The final day of the camp revolved around an on-site orientation programme, based on the school campus, where the various “nuts and bolts” of being in Grade 8 were covered through various workshops, talks and a campus orientation scavenger hunt. Although completely exhausted, the Grade 8s arrived on the first official day of 2015 prepped, excited and ready to embark on the journey of being a College student.
