On Saturday, 9 November, there was much excitement as eight Prep water polo teams travelled to Glenwood House in George to participate in an inter-schools water polo festival.
These teams comprised of a total of 86 players from ages 10 to 13! The festival gave our development players an opportunity to measure their progress and hard work they have put in throughout the year, as well as expose them to the true nature of the game which is composed of physicality, competitiveness but most of all FUN. Our players, staff and parents had an enjoyable time. Memories were made, some players scored their first goals ever, and most of all there were many teachable moments and great teamwork from our Oakhill players who sometimes had to play in mixed teams (boys and girls). A highlight was that both our U13A girls and U13A boys managed to beat the Glenwood U13A girls and boys teams respectively, of particular significance as was the first time this year after three matches that the boys pulled off a victory against our biggest rival in the region. Well done boys! We are extremely proud of all of our players and thank Glenwood for being great hosts!
