Reflecting on the nine years since the devastating Knysna fires, of 7 June 2017, we are filled with profound gratitude for the incredible resilience of our community and the beautiful regrowth of our natural environment.
To honour this journey of renewal, and in harmony with World Environment Day, Oakhill School is embracing a week of conscious care for our planet. We invite our students, staff, and families to join us in wearing something green to school on Monday 8 June as a reminder of our commitment.
As we raise the commemorative Knysna Fires flag and reaffirm our Eco-School commitment, we celebrate how far we have come together, turning a time of great loss in our town into a lasting legacy of hope, appreciation, and enduring green habits. Oakhill is committed to a future-forward and green focus for our beautiful town and area!
